At the wool sales there was spirited competition at the opening rates. The American visible supply of wheat is estimated at 89,278,000 bushels. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdoms 2,040,000 quarters, and for the Continent 850,000. Share debentures of the Bank of Australasia arc quoted at 75, Bank of New South Wales 41, Union Bank of Australia 38.5. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile fours are at 93, whilo others are unaltered. At the tallow sales 1850 casks were offered, and GSO were sold. Mutton, fine, 29s 3d; medium 275. Beef, fine 27s 9d; medium 20s 6d. -
