THE SIXTH CONTINGENT.
[By telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. Quartermaster Henderson has been appointed as paymaster to the Sixth Contingent now camped at Newton Park. The pay of the men commences from the time they are sworn in. The amount to be paid out will be over £IOO per day. There are at present 450 men in camp, fifteen of whom have already seen aotive service in South Afrioa.
