1400 BOER PRISONERS SENT TO ST. HELENA.

London, yesterday. DoWot retreated in the direction of Liudley or Reitz, where Colonel Pilcher prevented him reaching Bethlehem. General Knox is closely pursuing him. Most of the Western raiders in Cape Colony are between Middloburg and Hanover, while a section has reached Glenbarry, near Graffreinot, where there is a British garrison. Some fighting has taken placo near Middleburg, and the railway lias been damaged south of Lutontein. Fourteen hundred' Boer prisoners have sailed for St. Helena.
The military authorities have taken over all the supplies at Kimberley. Boers, have been seen in the vicinity of Ladysmith.
The Rhenoster garrison repulsed an attempt to seize a gun in a neighboring kopje.
