SPRINT & LONG DISTANCE LONDON. May 26. The American sprinter, Eddie Conwell, at the British won the 100 yards in 9.65ec., one-tenth of a second faster than the British record held jointly by E. li. Liddell and E. McDonald Bailey. Conwell's record is subject to official ratification. Viljo Heino, of Finland, world record holder, ran six miles in 29min. 22.45ec.. clipping Msec, of! Nurmi's British record established in 1930.
