WILLIAMS BEATS FONTAINE REFEREE STOPS FIGHT (19 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 27. The National Boxing Association lightweight world champion, Ike Williams. 9st. 9 Jib. scored a technical knock-out over Juste Fontaine, lOst. oJib. in the fourth of a scheduled 10round fight. The first three rounds were evenly contested. Williams unleashed a whirlwind assault i;i the fourth and Fontaine was helpless on the ropes when the referee intervened.
