NO RESTRICTION

BRANDS OF LIQUOR MASTERTON POLL ISSUE (P.A ) WELLINGTON. May 27. “Trust control does not imply restriction as to brands of liquor that may be supplied,” said the Minister of Justice, Mr. H. G. R. Mason, today. “The question has again been put to me as a result of a contrary opinion which has been advertised. I. therefore. have to confirm my original statement in this matter. The Minister said it was not his business to take sides in contentions which the strong feelings on the licensing issues had aroused, but he could not allow this circumstance to be used as a means of throwing doubt upon his statement in opposition to people who were entitled to know from the Minister what they were voting for.
