TWO 8.0.A.C. LEADERS TOUR OF AIR ROUTES (P.A.) WELLINGTON. May 27. The chairman of he National Airways Corporation, Sir Leonard Isitt, left for Auckland today on the first stage of his journey to Sydnev to meet Lord Knollys, retiring chairman of the British Overseas Airways Corporation.
and the managing director designate. Mr. Whitney St.aight, who are making a 33.000-mi ic lour ot the corporation's routes in a special 8.0.A.C. Lancast rian. As far as the itinerary is known at present they are to leave Sydnev on Thursday night and will arrive ax Whenuapai on Friday morning. On Friday afternoon they will fly to Oha-kc-a and proceed to Wellington oy car. and will leave again from O'nakea for Sydney on Sunday. Special permission has had to be obtained from the Civil Aviation De pnriment for this take-off. as Ohakea is not normally an airport for overseas flights.
