INDOOR BASKETBALL KEEN GISBORNE GAMES Extra time was required in a highscoring men’s A grade game which was a feature of Saturday’s play in the Gisborne Indoor Basketball Association’s competitions. The call of time found Colts and M.I.A. level with 20 points each and M.I.A. scored the deciding goal in the additional periodA Play in the women’s division was marked by another particularly interesting contest in which Gisborne Markets defeated Eagles, last season’s champions, by three points. Results: Women’s A Grade.—Petties 22 V. Rovers 18: Gisborne Markets 18 v. Eagles 15; Power Board 28 v. Swifts 2; Scots 17 v. McGruers 8; C. E. Brown 22 v. Cassrells 5. Men’s A Grade. —M.I.A. 22 v. Colts 20: McGruers (A) 2 v. McGruers (B) 0. 3lcn’s B Grade.—A.T.C. 2 v. Dodgers 0: Power Board 32 v. Celtic 4; Pirates 2 v. Y.M.C.A. (A) 0; P.B.R.C. 26 v. Y.M.C.A. (B) 20; Avengers 13 v. Kiwis 9.
