BASKETBALL TOURNA-
KING'S BIRTHDAY FIXTURE A King’s Birthday basketball tournament will take place in Gisborne on Monday, commencing at 8.‘15 a.m. The games will be played throughout the day* but the official opening ceremony will be performed at £ p.m., when the 28 teams taking part will march past. The tournament will be iqv the Bowie Cup, and the teanvi will be seven-a-side. Five rounds will be played. The draw for the first round is as follows: , i No. 1 court, H.S.O.G. A.B v. High School B2; No. 2 court, Nurses v. H.S.O.G. A.R.; No. 3 court, Marathon v. W.W.S.A.; No. 4 court. High School A 1 v. Cash Stores; No. 1 court, Tuis v. Kiwi; No. 2 court, Eastwoods v. St. Mary’s A ; No. 3 court, High School A V. St. Mary's B 3 : No. 4 court, Kotare Cl v. St. Dominies; No. 1 court, High School Cl v. St. Mary’s Bl; No. 2 court, High School C2 v. St. Mary's B2; No. 3 court. St. Marys C 3 v. Kotare C2: No. 1 court, High School C 3 v. Ayton House Cl ; No. 2 court, St. Mary's Cl v. St. Mary’s C2) No. 3 court. High School C 4 v. Ayton House.C2.
