MAXIMUM CHARGES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 4. A price order fixing the maximum prices that can be charged for the cutting of hair and the shaving of males was issued last night with a Gazette order. The Price Tribunal states that the order has been issued to secure ' uniformity in prices charged for the cutting of hair of youths', as these prices have varied throughout New Zealand. The prices fixed are: — Hair-cutting— Males under IG, Is. except after 4.30 p.m. oil Friday or any time on Saturday, when the maximum of Is (id lor those over lfi will apply to youths'as well. Shaving is fixed at Is. The Price Tribunal states that these are maximum prices, and hairdressers may charge less if they wish to do so.
