CALL-UP OF WOMEN
LABOUR IN GERMANY (10 ami.) LONDON, June 3 01 the women conscripted under the Germans’ plans for total labour mobilisation, 90 per cent, have been drafted to factories and only 10 per cent to offices, according to the Berlin correspondent of the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter. Over 83 per cent of the people mobilised are women, and less than 17 per cent men —showing the extent to which men up to 65 were already utilised. Only 11 per cent of the men mobilised could be taken. The remainder were rejected chiefly for health reasons. Two-thirds of the women, however, were, taken.
