GRAND FILS SCORES (10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 19. Interference to Main Topic, It’s Funny and Angus in the straight in the Metropolitan Handicap at the A.J.C. meeting at Randwick on Saturday enabled Grand Fils to creep through and win from Goose Boy and Angus. Angus led all the way till the field was coming down the straight when the interference occurred. Goose Boy’s jockey was suspended for a month for careless riding. The results of the main events are:— Metropolitan Handicap: 1 mile and 5 furlongs.—Grand Fils, 7.12 (Ross), 1; Goose Boy, 7.9 (Moore), 2; Angus, G.S (Doon), 3. All started. Half a head; a length. Time, 2.451. Craven Plate; .11 Miles.—Yarralla, 9.0 (McMenamin), 1; Rimveil, 9.4 (Bartle), 2; Hnllstand, 7.11 (Cook), 3. Also started; Baroda. Yaralla disputed the lead to the turn with Hallstand and then raced away and won easily. Thtee lengths; two lengths. Time, 2.4|. Breeders’ Plate; 5 furlongs.—Moorland, 8.5 (Freedman), 1; Star Gold, 8.5 (McMenamin), 2; New Pentheus, 8.5 (Cook), 3. Seventeen started. Four lengths; two lengths. Time, I.OJ. Gimcrack Stakes; 5 furlongs.—Ajixa. 8.5 (Shcan), 1; Hecuba, 8.6 (Munro), 2; Rustic Meg, 8.5 (McMenamin), 3, Fifteen started. Three lengths; three lengths. Time, I.o*l.
