The soldiers’ parcels fund benefited appreciably as the result of a progressive fivehundred tournament held in the Waikohu Hall on Thursday evening. Play at 10 tables was supervised by Mr. J. Goodley, successful competitors ‘ being :--Ladies: Mrs. I. Young, 1; Mrs. W- Greggan, 2. Gentlemen: Mr. W. E. Lane, i; Mr. W. Kelly, 2. Miss N.“ Clentworth, Wellington, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Greggan, Te Karaka.
