SOMERVELL’S FINAL The finals of the Gisborne-Eaßt Coast Bowling Centre’s patriotic tournament were played on Saturday afternoon, when C. C. Somervell secured the win in the final game by a small margin. Results were:—Semi-final: McMullen, E. File, O’Brien; C. C. Somervell (s) 9 v. G. P. Weatherley, Bury, Watson, J. Nasmith (s) 8; Humphreys, Reid, Ansell, J. Murray (s) 1!) v. Adcroft, Sarten, M. F. Robinson, J. Park (s) 6. Final: Somervell 17 v. Murray 14. In the final, Murray secured the early lead, but a 6 to Somervell helped him well on the way, and on’ the final head Murray required three to win, Somervell secured one and the game.
