In an excited speech to his generals nine days before the war began. Herr Hitler expressed the deepest contempt for the King of Italy and the Emperor of Japan. “Our strength consists of our speed and our brutality,” declared Herr Hitler. Details of the notable gathering a Berchtesgaden were revealed by Mr. Louis Lothner. the former Associated Press correspondent in Berlin whose informant was a German-officer who was present at the meeting.
