CUBA AND RUSSIA
DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS (9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 18. The Cuban Embassy announced that Cuba and Russia had established diplomatic relations for the development of friendly and commercial ties. Although Cuba is the only Latin American nation recognising Moscow, Colombia and others are expected to follow suit shortly.
