OBITUARY

MR. G. T. FOSTER The death occurred this morning of Mr. George Thomas Foster, at the age of 85 years. Mr. Foster was born m Kent, England, and came to New Zealand at the age of 18, settling in Blenheim with his parents. At the age of 28 he married Miss Annie Berry jn Blenheim, He came to Gisborne 35 years ago and was well known as a bricklayer. For 69 years he played ■<n instrument in the Salvation Army Band. He had been ailing for the pest two years. The deceased leaves to mourn their loss two daughters and two sons, Mesdames L. Jeffs and R. Foote, Gisborne, Mr. C. A. Foster. Sydney and Mr. Frank Foster, 2nd N.Z.E.F. After a short service at the Salvation Army Citadel at 2 p.m. to-morrow, the funeral will leave for the Taruheru cemetery. ■■•■tv ' ■. . '
