King’s.—“A Gentleman After Dark,” the dramatic adaptation of Richard Washbuen Child’s now famoiis magazine story, “§ Whiff of Heliotrope,” the Edward Small production which opens to-monow at the King’s Theatre, can boast of an excellent caßt. Three popular stars of the screen share the leading roles, Brian Donlevy, Miriam Hopkins and Preston Foster. Brian Donlevy plays the title role, a sympathetic one for the first time in his career, even though it is that of a jewel thief. ■ Regent.—.“ Sergeant York,” starring Gary Cooper, will be finally screened to-night. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's sparkling operetta, ‘‘The Chocolate Soldier,” will provide a treat for music lovers to-morrow. Nelson Eddy is co-starred with Rise Stevens, a new star with a magnificent voice. The picture brings to the screen all the popular Strauss melodies for which this musical comedy is noted. Saturday morning at 10.30 a special children’s programme will be presented to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday. Every child will receive a piece of birthday cake. Majestic.—Clare Booth’s sparkling musical comedy, “Kiss The Boys Good Bye,” commences to-day with Mary Martin, Don Ameche, Colinie Boswell, and Rochester in the starring roles. The associate thrills is "Federal Bullets,” and the serial chapter 10 of "Gang Busters.” To-night’s movie quiz jackpot is worth £4 10s. Patrons are reminded to, bring a pencil.
