DOMINION AIRMEN

FLYING STIRLING BOMBERS VISIT BY MR. JORDAN (Special Correspondent.) (11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, visiting a Stirling bomber squadron, met many New Zealanders operating these heavy bombers. They included Pilot Officers D. Newall, of Timaru, G. Patrick, o{ Dunedin, F. C. Jones, and L. J. Drummond, of Auckland, H. S. Gilberd, of Wellington, Flight Sergeants E H. Howell, of Wellington, K. Smith, of Auckland, Sergeants P. A. Radomski, of Wellington, L. K. Warren, and I. Connelly, of Auckland, K. G. McKenzie, of Invercargill, M. Torrance, of Christchurch, W. L. Harvey, of Central Otago, Scott Craw, of Banks Peninsula, and H. C. Whitwell. Many have nearly completed an operations tour. Sergeant Torrance secured the probable destruction of a Messerschmitt near Wilhelmshaven.
