HENI MATEROA HOME
It was reported at the monthly meeting of the Cook County Women’s Guild yesterday that there were 28 children in the Hen'. Materoa Home and nil w“re well. The swimming season had commenced. The highlight of the month was an all-day picnic at Mrs. H. G. Wellborne’s home. During the month the home wus visited by the child welfare officers, who expressed satisfaction in the home in general and in the recent improvements in particular. Mrs. Holmes occupied the chair in the absence of the president, Mm. Wellborne. Ocners 'present at the meeting were Mesdames Quigley, Primrose, Munro, Williams, Newton, Jeune, Buckley, Neal, Gilmer, Scott and Hall. Donations Were reported from the following:—Signal Corps, Home Guard, Mr. uickard, Wise's Ice Cream factory, Mrs. C. J. Hamilton, Anonymous, Patutahi Women’s Institute, Mrs. Wellborne. Intermediate School, Woolworth’s, Hampton's Pork Butchery, Evans’ Pork Butchery, Le Grand Cafe, Irresistible, Mrs. Kennaway, O.C. Headquarters Company. Mrs. J. B. Williams, Mrs. H. Williams, and Mrs. G. Revell.
