Sir, —Now that we are at war with Japan and have found her a fornuaable opponent we are beginning to understand how much the Chinese have done and how much We are indebted to them. One way of expressing that is to drop something into the box ' for the “Relief of Chinese Refugees’’ which evei’y Chinese shopkeeper has on his' counter. Do not be content with “a bob.” Millions oi Chinese have died. If they had not, our task would have been'very muc.i harder- ' THOS. TODD.
