AUSTRALIAN RACING

SKIPTON REGAINS FORM (9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 13. The trainer, J. Fryer, is exceptionally pleased with Skipton’s win in the Stand Handicap at Melbourne on Saturday. He said that last season’s trait of going oil his feed following a hard race was not in evidence now. The rider, Badger, is disappointed with Wilson’s effort in the Stand Handicap. Unless he has improved by next Saturday, Badger intends to ask permission to cancel his riding engagement on that horse in order to accept a mount on David Innis in the Caulfield Cup. Unless the scratchings are numerous for the Toorak Handicap and Herbert Power Handicap there is a possibility of the hurdle race on Saturday being deleted in order to keep the programme within limits.
