CLASHES IN BOMBAY
POLICE MAKE ARRESTS (3 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 30. The police last night searched Mr. Nehru’s house in Allahabad for four hours and seized a quantity of books and papers. The police in Bombay made several arrests when crowds hoisted Congress flags. Rowdy , elements stoned buses, trams and other vehicles.
