REPRIEVE GRANTED
FIVE I.R.A. MURDERERS ONE TOf BE HANGED (2 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 30. Five of six members of the Irish Republican Army, aged between 18 and 22 years, who were sentenced to death for the murder of a policeman in Belfast last Easter Monday have been reprieved. Four will be imprisoned for life and one sentenced to 15 years in gaol. The sixth was not reprieved. Huge mass meetings have been held throughout Eire demanding a reprieve and several British members of Parliament also urged a reprieve.
