MOSCOW AND DON FRONTS CAUCASUS WITHDRAWAL . (British Official Wireless.) (3 p.m.) RUGBY, Aug. 27. A Russian supplementary communique states that several further localities were captured on the central front. Several local counter-attacks have been made north-west of Stalingrad and heavy losses inflicted on the Germans. Ten enemy attacks have been repulsed on one sector. The Russians retreated to new positions in one area of the Caucasus.
