CLASS DIVIDED
BOYS’ RECITATION TO-DAY'S COMPETITIONS The .Gisborne Competitions Society continued its annual festival to-day and one of the most interesting sections was that of the recitation for children between the ages of 10 and 14. The judge, Mr. Barton Ginger, decided to divide the class into two, for children from 10 to 11, and children from 12 to 14, and himself award prizes for the younger section. At the conclusion of .the class he gave a special performance for the competitors, to demonstrate the manner in which they should recite the piece, without haste, thus giving the poem its full value.
