CYCLE ACCESSORIES

SHIPMENTS EXPECTED In spite of the much discussed shortage of bicycles and, especially accessories, Auckland cycle dealers are optimistic. Although the supply, of accessories are limited, particularly, tyres and tubes and certain sizes of batteries, there is no shortage of any. popular line,. Due to the recent sudden demand for cycles as the result of petrol restrictions, stocks which would ordinarily have lasted a month or two were sold in a week. Discussing the position, a leading dealer stated he had received advice ot several small shipments of cycles and accessories which would be arriving in New Zealand shortly. He had been advised that during 1942 this country would receive about onequarter of its usual purchases from the United Kingdom. He added that while stocks were sufficient for current demand, it was impossible to build up supplies.
