JAPANESE VERSION BOMBING IN CHINA THREE DAYS OF RAIDS (Reed. Dec. 23, 2.30 p.m.' SHANGHAI, Dec. 28. A Shanghai message states that the Japanese army and navy; in a joint statement, .said that the Japanese carried out the greatest mass air raids of the war in the Lanchow area with three days of bombing, a “brilliant prelude to 'he anniversary of the founding of the Japanese Empire.’ A Chungking message states that the Chinese sources have reported the bombing ar.d desivuctio l of the China Inland Mission at TTochu, in. the Shansi province, by Japanese planes. A Norwegian missionary. Pastor Jesen, was killed.
