Crime Takes a Holiday
Crime took a holiday in Wellington during the Christmas week-end and police officers said it y/as the quietest holiday period experienced for a long time. Apart from the usual crop of inebriates, whose Christmas celebrations brought them wilnra reach of the law, the police courts had few cases to deal with. There were no burglaries or other serious offences.
