SUSSEX WOMAN POET LINES QUOTED BY KING STREAM OF CALLERS (Reed. Dec. 28, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 28. Fame overnight has been achieved by Miss L. Haskings, of Crowborough. Sussex, the author of the poem “God Knows,” lines fi-om which were quoted by the King in the concluding portion of his Christmas Day broadcast. The telephone at the residence of Miss Haskins is ringing continuouslv throughout the day. Telegrams are arriving from all over the world There are streams of callers, including photographers, newsreel, advertising and literary agents seeking permission to use the quotation for posters and for articles.
