TENNIS RESUMED

DISTRICT TOURNEY COURTS REMAIN SOFT FINISH AT WEEK-END After an interruption caused by the rain, the Poverty Bay and East Coast Lawn Tennis Association’s tournament was resumed this morning. The courts were still damp during the early part of the day. but dried out rapidly. With little play on Tuesday afternoon. only a few hours on one court on Wednesday and none yesterday, the completion of the tournament has been delayed considerably, but if no further interruptions occur it should be possible to reach the final stages during the week-end.
