EIGHT LIVES LOST
GOOMERI HOTEL FIRE (Reed. Dec. 28. 2.50 p.m.) BRISBANE, Dec. 27. It has now been definitely established that only eight persons perished in the fire which destroyed the Goomeri Hotel 171 miles north of, Brisbane. The bones recovered, from the ashes, which led the police to believe that tw’o other persons had perished, were found not to be human.
