CHRISTMAS QUIET RESPITE PROLONGED COMPLAINT IN BERLIN ATTITUDE OF ALLIES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Dec. 28. 3 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 27. Messages from Paris state that fog and cold and semi-visibiiity prolong the Christmas quiet on the Western Front. Aerial activity was to-day at a standstill on both sides. The official morning French communique stated that there was nothing of importance to report during the night. A morning communique issued in Eerlin stated that except for "feeble enemy artillery lire” the front was quiet. The official German news agency in Berlin complains that the military operations of the Allies "frequently disturbed the Christmas peace, upsetting the Christmas mood of the German troops who made every effort to keep the peace and avoided activity conducive to fighting, but enemy patrols repeatedly forced the adoption of the offensive."
