FLYING OFFICER F. H. LONG The Distinguished Flying Cross has been conferred on Flying Officer F. H. Long., according to a cable message received by his father, Mr. 11. Long, Masterlon. Flying Officer Long, who joined the Royal Air Force last year, has recently taken part in reconnaissance and other flights over Germany. He is an old boy of Wairarapa High School, where he was captain of the first fifteen, and prominent in athletics and swimming. In England he was later athletic champion of his R.A.F. training school.
