NELSON’S CALL AGAIN
BATTLE WITH GRAF SPEE LONDON, Dec. 20. “England expects . . .” These opening words of Nelson’s famous battle call were signalled by Commander Harwood from the Ajax as she, with the Exeter and Achilles, went into action against the Graf von Spee. Not to be backward in setting the example, the Ajax actually fired the first shot in the battle.
