HOLIDAY BOWLS

ONE-DAY TOURNEY POVERTY BAY GREEN A one-day tournament organised on the Poverty Bay green was the only bowling fixture in progress in Gisborne to-day. Twenty-four rinks, including two teams from Tolaga Bay, participated. Several games in the first two rounds were drawn and in order not to delay the competition the play-ofl' was held over until later in the day. Second Round. —Morrison 12 v. Watt 8: Bayliss 14 v. McGregor 4; Slight 14 v. Hodgson 9; Swan 24 v. Blackburn nil. C Section First Round.—Hopkinson 13 v. Ross 8; Atkinson 11 v. McKenzie 10.
