Dec. 26, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 24 A message from .Berlin states tha. the Reach had a Christmas broadcas. included in a description of a visit by Herr Hitler to the Siegfried Lino Herr Hess sent a special message to the nation from a destroyer riding at anchor. General von Brauchitsco from a pillbox in the Siegfried Lino also sent a message. The German people were told: “In this hour, we sent out the strength of our common memories to all Germans abroad who are spending Christmas behind barbed wire in con centration camps, or laborously fighting their way back to the Father land. “Our thoughts go to our fighters on all fronts and our gratitude and love to our leader. He is surrounded completely by our love, but the more we surround him with our 16ve the greater is the hatred of others to us. “Germany is prepared to sacrifice its present for its future. We greet the Fuehrer' as supreme commander of Germany’s finest soldiers. We can count on God’s help only by fulfilling our duty and keeping our faith. “Only when victory is secure can we talk of peace.”
