At the Queensland Turf Club’s meeting on Saturday, the Christmas Handicap of a mile and a quarter resulted: Assegai 8.13 ' (Hornery), 1; Heroic’s Double 7.5 (Morgan), 2; Cape Moreton 7.0 (McGrowdie) 3. Eight started. Won by a head and three lengths.
