WINNER OF £IOOO

DANNEVIRKE WOMAN LUCKY EXHIBITION TRIP (Per Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, this day. “Mickey,” winner of the second prize in Our Black Cat art union, proved to be a woman, the wife of a well-known Mangahei farmer, Mr. W. C. Kilford. She did not know of her good luck until this morning, when a neighbour in conversation wondered who “Mickey” was.

Mrs. Kilford at that stage did not know, but remembering that she had bought a ticket at the exhibition in November got it and compared the number with the announcement in the Dannevirke Evening News, and then realised her good fortune.
