Mr. George Havey the Mayor of Queensborough, in which the World’s Fair is located, has proclaimed a halfholiday for borough employees to celebrate the removal of the Russian pavilion. He urged private employers to do likewise.

“I am sure the people will feel as I do, jubilant over the withdrawal of a symbol to violently contrasting with the form of government making possible our own peaceful Christmas,” he said. “I hope the American flags' will be displayed throughout the borough to mark the official exit of an unwelcome guest.” .
