SCHOOL OF SABOTAGE
CONSCIRACY ADMITTED MANHATTAN BASEMENT (Reed. Dec. 23, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Dec. 22. The existence in a Manhattan basement of a union-operated school of sabotage was alleged when 15 members of the “United Machinists of the Needle Industries,” affiliated with the Committee of Industrial Organisation, were charged with conspiring to commit violence.
Eight pleaded guilty. The trial date has not yet been fixed. The charges included acid-throwing and assault.
