Gisborne Petrol Prices

In consequence of the general increase in the re-sdiirg price of petrol, the price in Gisborne to-day advanced to 2’s Bld per gallon for second grade, and 2s’ 9.>,cf for first grade. The advance took effect from noon. Freezing Works Fuse IJj*

This week has seen a slight easing up in killings at the Kaiti freezing works, following the rain of the past week-end, and only about .‘ISOO lambs a day were handled, in comparison with 5500 during the previous week. The season’s kill to date has been brought up to 110,000 or 115.000 sheep and lambs, mainly sheep, this being well in advance of the totals up to Christmas last year. The freezingworks will close after to-day until the New Year holidays are over.
