CHILDREN ENTERTAINED

The merry ring of laughter filled the Tawhiwhirangi Memorial Hall when nearly 300 children and many parents were entertained at the Tikitiki School’s breaking-up ceremony. The function was organised by the teachers. Mr. and Mrs, A. Dobson, Misses J. Archibald and J. Yates, and Messrs. C. Turner and S. Clayton. A delicious luncheon was served in the tastefully decorated supper-room. A feature was the presentation of a gift and a bag of sweets to each child from a Christmas tree. Sunday School Function Childish enthusiasm, and .that of parents and friends also, ran high the other day when Mesdnmes J. Wilcox. W. Mulligan. M. G. Thomson. E. Walker and A. 11. Jenkins entertained Misses W. Hop ley and M. Biddle. Sunday school teachers, and their scholars at a delightful all-day breaking-up party. The function took place in the Tikitiki pa. the party tea being served by the hostesses in the Memorial Hall, which was gaily decorated.
