TEACHERS FAREWELLED TAWHIWHIRANGI DANCE (Herald Corrosiiomlimt.) Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Webster entertained a few friends at their home in Ruatoria to farewell Misses J. Driscoll and A. Penhalluriack. two teachers who have been relieving on the Coast for some months, the former at the Manutahi School, Ruatoria, and the latter at the Hiruharama School. The reception room, where a delicious savoury supper was served, was gay with mixed flowers.- The guests were entertained with competitions and games.
Mrs. Webster received her guests wearing a navy floral Shasta silk dress.
Those present were Misses A. Penhalluriack, J. Driscoll, E. Corner. G. Walker, I. Smyth, and T. McKinnon: Messrs. I). Harford, B. Glenn. J. Doherty, L. Dalziel and G. Ngata. Orchestral Fund Dance
The Tawhiwhirangi Memorial Ilall was the scene of a jolly dance in aid of the funds of the orchestra. The music was provided by Johnnie Manuel’s orchestra, and Mr. M Brown played delightful extras. The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by Mr. Rupert Wihbngi. A delicious supper was served.
