DISTRICT TOURNEY TITLES AND HANDICAPS KEEN INTEREST SHOWN DRAW FOR ALL SECTIONS The executive of the Poverty Bay and East Coast Lawn Tennis Association last evening made the draw for the annual district tournament in championship and handicap sections, to be commenced on Boxing Day on the Gisborne and Titirangi club's courts. The entry is satisfactorily large, and keen competition is assured by the appearance of old rivals in all sections, together with a strong infusion of new blood. The sti'ength of the junior championship sections is a matter for special congratulation, and it is understood that several late enries will give these classes additional strength. Women's sections will be played on Tuesday (Boxing Day) on the Titirangi courts, and men’s sections on the Gisborne churls, all players being under an obligation to be ready to start at 9 a.m. On the succeeding days of the fixture, it should be possible to bring all the matches on to the Gisborne courts.
