BOWLS TOURNEY WIN

MEREDITH’S RINK PLAY-OFF DECIDES The Kahutia floodlight tournament, which extended over the past three Wednesdays, was completed last evening, the winning team being Hackett, Dower, I. Robertson and Meredith (s). At the close of the sixth round honours were evenly divided between Meredith's rink and Ellis, Vail, Jackson and Jenkins (s). The two teams met in a play-off and Meredith’s team proved victorious. The sixth round resulted as follows: Beckett 14 v. McKessar 11; Meredith 19 v. Downey 7; Holland 12 v. Newton 7; Jenkins 10 v. McGregor 9; Bennett 14 v. Hands 3; Graham 8 v. Robertson 5.

Summary.—Meredith and Jenkins, five wins s one loss; Bennett, McKessar, Robertson, McGregor and Holland, four wins, two losses; Beckett and Hands, two wins, four losses; Graham and Newton, one win, five losses; Downey, six losses.
