CROSSING ELIMINATED

An overhead bridge 225 ft in length which eliminates a dangerous level crossing on the main Taupo road beyond Putaruru has been completed and will be in use by traffic, before the holidays. Built at an estimated cost of £IO,OOO, the bridge is an imposing structure in which 700 tons of concrete and 50 tons of sieel have been used.
