VALUES RECOVER
FAT SHEEP AND LAMB BEEF PRICES DECLINE ADDINGTON MARKET (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The works operated freely at schedule rates. The entry of fat sheep was exceptionally small for a double market, 4 here being little more than 4000 head. Prices advanced, especially for good wethers, which were better by 2s a head. Light wethers also were better and both prime and lightweight ewes advanced by Is to Is 6d a head. Extra prime heavy wethers made to 35s 6d, prime 28s 6d to 31s; prime heavy ewes 27s to 345, medium to 22s Gd, and light to 14s. Prime heifers made to £l2 10s and light to £8 ss, and prime cows £lO to £l2 15s, with light cows to £7 ss. The entry in the fat pig section was on the small side for a double market, and prices advanced from 3s to 4s a head for good cutting sorts.
