RETURN FROM BRITAIN
MEMBER OF N.Z. MISSION LT. -COLONEL STEVENS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. One of the official party which flew to England with the Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser in October, Lieutenant-Colonel Stevens, of Wellington, has returned to New Zealand. He is secretary of the organisation for national security. Lieutenant-Colonel Stevens, who flew from England to Australia on his homeward journey, left in advance of the other members of the Ministerial party. He accompanied Mr. Fraser on his recent official visit to France and visited the squadron of the Royal Air Force which has as one of its members the New Zealand pilot who was a victor in the high altitude battle that resulted in the destruction of a large German raider. In view of the nature of his mission, Lieutenant-Colonel Stevens was unable to discuss it on his return to New Zealand. He will await the arrival of other members of the party in Wellington.
