ALLIED TRADE UNIONS CONFERENCE IN PARIS OBJECTIVES OUTLINED PROPAGANDA RESENTED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 2.15 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 15. After a session in Paris lasting two days, the Anglo-French Trade Union Council, in a statement issued to-day, declared complete unity of views and action existed between the British and French trade union organisations. During the session the council considered working conditions in the respective countries and discussed the question of the control of prices, and expressed the opinion that trade union rights must be protected < and maintained, while collaboratiqn between the Governments and the trade unions must be developed in a way consistent with the independence of the trade union movement The statement concludes with an indictment of “all open or insidious mendacious intrigues carried out by propaganda * against the unity of French and British workers.”
